The team at RideADV have years of experience in all areas of motorcycling – specialising in Adventure Riding. It’s time we shared that knowledge and helped grow our sport. With this in mind, and with the ongoing support of Yamaha Australia and all our other valued sponsors, we are proud to present another Introduction to Adventure Riding Series event for 2027.

These rides are suitable for all types of Adventure bikes, all brands, all models and all rider skill levels. These rides are designed for those that are new to adventure riding and are wanting to learn the right way to do it safely. And for those wanting to brush up on their skills and knowledge.

These events have RideADV’s own Greg “TB” Yager, Mick “Strongy” Strong, Brett “Chicken” Gattera, Penny, and Abbey the Sweep. TB, Strongy & crew have over 150 years cumulative between them and have a wealth of knowledge, practical experience and bike setup advice to share when it comes to off-road riding. TB’s younger years were spent on a farm riding before racing motocross, enduros, rally events and organising adventure rides for friends all over Aus.

Here is what Jay said about a recent Intro he attended.

Jay Cowan

“Absolute class outfit. The Ride ADV crew took us in as one of their own. With a solid mix of experience amongst them, we were never left wanting. Some periodic stopping on day 1 to show everyone techniques and drills to pratice helped instill confidence for beginners. Running the cornerman system there were lead and sweep riders so navigation was taken care of, and with rider safety at the forefront they ensured we all got through the weekend and back to our families. Perfect conditions throughout the weekend topped it off. Well done Ride ADV, I’ll be seeing you again.”

During these rides, we will be sharing all aspects of Adventure Riding including:

  • Pre-ride bike inspection tips
  • Ergonomics, riding position, comfortable and safe
  • Bike setup
  • Adventure bike tyres, different tyre styles, tubes, tubeless and more
  • Personal tracking, safety, Spot tracker, PLB, Garmin InReach
  • Suspension setup and advice
  • Riding tips, body position, peg weighting, on-track coaching
  • Luggage, packing tips and tricks
  • GPS, how to understand and use them
  • Riding gear, jackets and safety gear
  • How to change a tyre trackside – practice wheels and tyres for Saturday night hands-on
  • Tools – what to carry
  • Tents and swags – pros and cons
  • Saturday evening question and answer sessions

Plus any questions you have – the more you ask, the more you will learn.

The RideADV sweep crew and support vehicles will be there supporting, as per previous events.

Camp or Motel – it’s Your Ride, Your Adventure!

The ride starts and finishes at Mangrove Mountain on the Central Coast of NSW, at the RideADV base, with both days suitable for any bike and rider skill level. We’ll head out from Mangrove and finish back at Mangrove both days.

Refreshments are available during and after the rides. Lunch can be purchased on route as always.

The cost is only $180 per person per day – that’s only $360 for two spectacular days of fully supported ADV riding at its best, with support and tuition from some of the most experienced ADV riders in the country.
