ALL NEW ROUTES, OPEN TO ALL BIKES = AN AWESOME EXPERIENCE

This ride is open to all brands and makes of adventure motorcycles.

RideADV and Yamaha Australia proudly present three magnificent days of Central West NSW adventure riding, starting and finishing at Wallerawang, NSW.

For 2027 we’ve put together a three-day navigation adventure taking riders from Wallerawang to Orange, then Orange to Gulgong, before a completely different route brings us back through some of the best Central West riding country to finish at Wallerawang on Monday. This is a GPS navigation adventure ride. You’re not stuck riding in a line or sitting in somebody else’s dust all day. Follow the supplied GPS tracks, ride at your own pace and enjoy the adventure with your mates.

Each day will offer two route options where conditions and terrain allow:

Standard Route – Designed for larger adventure bikes and riders looking for spectacular ADV riding without the more technical challenges.

Special Route – More technical terrain for smaller bikes or competent riders on larger adventure bikes looking for some extra spice.

You can choose the route that best suits you and change between Standard and Special routes throughout the event. Both routes are supported by our experienced RideADV Sweep Crew, medically trained support riders and support vehicles, with satellite communications and tracking capability throughout the event.

And yes – we carry your luggage!

Accommodation options include motels and pubs, allowing you to choose the style and budget that suits you. It’s still Your Ride, Your Adventure – we’re just there to keep you on track and help you get safely to the finish.

This ride is for intermediate to experienced adventure riders.

Day 1 – Saturday, 29th May, Wallerawang to Orange

Distance: TBC following the final pre-run
Sign-Out: 7:30 AM to 7:45 AM – Black Gold Motel, Wallerawang

Day 1 gets straight into some of the best adventure riding the Central West of NSW has to offer. Leaving Wallerawang, we’ll work our way through a mixture of pine forests, flowing twin trails, fire trails, gravel backroads and classic Central West riding country as we make our way towards Orange. The day will incorporate some of the region’s iconic riding areas, including Sunny Corner, Hill End, the Bridle Track and Ophir, along with plenty of pine forest and back-country tracks linking it all together.

This is proper Central West adventure riding – historic gold country, river valleys, forests, climbs, open trails and some sensational scenery. Both Standard and Special options will give riders a full day on the bike, with the Special route adding more technical sections for riders looking for an extra challenge. We finish Saturday afternoon in Orange, where riders can settle in before getting together for dinner.

Orange Accommodation – Saturday 29th May

Riders are responsible for booking and paying for their own accommodation. Book early.

Saturday Night Dinner – Ophir Hotel

Saturday night we’ll get everyone together for dinner at the Ophir Hotel in Orange. It’s a chance to catch up after the first day, grab a feed and a drink, swap stories from the tracks and settle in before another big day of Central West riding on Sunday.

Distance: TBC following the final pre-run
Sign-Out: 7:30 AM to 7:45 AM – Orange

Day 2 leaves Orange and takes us deeper into the Central West as we make our way towards Gulgong. The route will take riders out through country around the Wellington region, incorporating a great mixture of farm tracks, twin trails, pine forest, flowing dirt roads and remote back-country riding. One of the features of the day will be sections of twin trail running alongside the railway line, mixed with open dirt roads and farm tracks as we work our way north. Expect plenty of variety throughout the day – open country where you can let the bike flow, tighter farm and forest tracks, twin trails and some fantastic Central West scenery. We finish Sunday afternoon in the historic gold-mining town of Gulgong.

Riders will purchase their own meals and drinks.

Day 3 – Monday, 31st May, Gulgong to Wallerawang

Distance: TBC following the final pre-run
Sign-Out: 7:30 AM to 7:45 AM – Gulgong

Monday morning we leave Gulgong and point the bikes back towards Wallerawang – but this is not simply a transport day. We’ve got another full day of Central West adventure riding planned before the event is finished.  The return route will incorporate some outstanding riding through areas including Razorback Road, Sallys Flat, Worlds End, the Turon River and Sunny Corner, along with plenty of connecting forest tracks, gravel roads, twin trails and remote Central West country.

Expect another great mix of terrain as we work our way south and east, eventually returning through the ranges towards Wallerawang. After three days of riding, we finish back where it all started at the Black Gold Motel in Wallerawang. It’s a proper final day on the bike and a fitting finish to three days of Central West adventure riding.

IMPORTANT RIDER INFORMATION

Please remember to sign out every morning between 7:30 AM and 7:45 AM and sign back in at the completion of every day’s ride. This is critical to our rider tracking and safety systems.

  • – BOOTS ARE MANDATORY –  For your safety and protection, MX motocross or Enduro-style boots with proper ankle support are mandatory. We do not accept soft adventure boots. We have seen too many injuries caused by boots that simply do not provide sufficient protection or support. If you are unsure whether your boots meet the requirement, contact TB before the event on 0499 089 715.
  • – TYRES ARE MANDATORY – All motorcycles must be fitted with a minimum 80% off-road / 20% road tyre. This is not negotiable. Central West conditions and terrain can change quickly, and the correct tyres can make the difference between enjoying the ride and struggling through sections. If you are unsure about your tyres, call TB – 0499 089 715 before the event.
  • – FUEL RANGE – The final minimum fuel range will be confirmed following the pre-run. Fuel availability can change, particularly in regional areas, so riders must refuel at all recommended locations even if they believe they have enough fuel to continue.
  • – TUBES & TYRE REPAIRS – Ultra or Heavy-Duty tubes are recommended. If you are running tubeless tyres, we strongly recommend carrying a suitable tube in case a damaged or bent rim prevents the tubeless system from holding air. We recommend you have a tubeless tyre plug kit.
  • – AMBULANCE COVER – Ambulance cover is strongly recommended.

  • – GPS & NAVIGATION – This is a GPS navigation ride. RideADV will supply the tracks for each day’s riding and assist with loading compatible GPS units. Riders using tablets or navigation apps will be supplied with the relevant GPX files every evening.
  • – IMPORTANT – BACK UP YOUR GPS BEFORE THE EVENT Please back up any existing tracks or routes that you wish to keep. We need sufficient free space on your GPS to load the RideADV tracks and routes. We strongly prefer riders to arrive with a Garmin cleared of unnecessary old tracks and routes. RideADV cannot be responsible for existing tracks that need to be removed to create sufficient space or prevent confusion during the event.

For best results, we recommend:

  • – Track-Up orientation
  • – 3D mode OFF
  • – Route recalculation OFF
  • – Sufficient free track space available before sign-on
