Whether it’s on the road or in the dirt\, the WR250R is the “Swiss Army Knife” of motorcycles. It’s won over a host of friends\, including RideADV head honcho Greg ‘Giant G’ Yager and the entire Destination Yamaha  rideADV team. \nCome ride with the Destination Yamaha rideADV team for what will be the biggest WR250R Rally yet! The first Yamaha WR250R Rally took place in May 2017\, the second April 2018\, the third in March 2019\, all at Cessnock\, based out of Chris Watson Motorcycles. All the previous Rallys have been a massive success and a cult following has ensued. The Rally has grown in size\, to the point that the format needs constant change\, including overnight locations.  \nIt’s bigger than a trail ride\, so it’s time it became a Rally proper. The 2023 Rally will be a GPS navigation style eventagain. What’s that mean? It means no more corner-man system! Which means no waiting on corners\, just follow the route. You will need a device that can have a GPX file loaded into it. We have purchased and recommend Garmin GPS products. You can use a phone if you have a navigation app that will accept a GPX file of up to 10\,0000 way points. Beware\, we frequently witness phone failures on these rides because of vibration\, being out of range\, flat batteries and getting wet. \nBoth days ride will be led and swept by experienced rideADV team members. With the support vehicle close by if its required. \nFriday night will include a group BBQ dinner at the Wauchope Showground on us!.  \nFriday 24th Nov\, 2023\nEvent sign in and GPS handover will open at 3pm on Friday under the Yamaha quick-shade at the Wauchope Showground until 8pm. This is located at 93A High St\, Wauchope. \nMechanical Scrutineering will take place as you check in and we’ll be putting on a free BBQ dinner from 6.30pm. Bring any refreshments you want\, there will be plenty of entertainment. \nWe will then be conducting a Riders Briefing that all riders must attend. \nThe crew are camping at the showground both nights \nRecommended Wauchope accommodation locations are: \n\nTimbertown Resort & Motel\, 230 High St\, Wauchope NSW 2446 (02) 6586 0699\nThe Wauchope Motel\, 84 High St\, Wauchope NSW 2446 (02) 6585 1933\nCAMPING – Wauchope Showground\, 93A High St\, Wauchope NSW 2446 (02) 6585 3023 – Crew camping here\n\nSaturday 25th Nov 2023\,\nWauchope to Wauchope – approx. 320kms \nGrab your own breakfast at your accommodation or one of the takeaways in the main street \n8am start – you can show off your WR\, for people to enjoy a look at and compare bits and bobs. Meanwhile\, Yamaha Rep and Legend Jake Belford will judge the bikes for the below categories. \n\n Most bling on WRR\n Highest mileage WRR\n Furthest travelled to the ride\n RideADV crew choice award\n\nSign out and GPS handout will be at 8.00am. \nThe route will have a fuel stop\, lunch break locations and optional breakouts for those wanting something more challenging. \nDinner\, Award handouts and the Riders Briefing will be held at a TBA during the dinner on Saturday night. \nSunday 26th Nov 2023\,\nWauchope to Wauchope – approx. 300kms \nSign out and GPS handout will be at 8.00am. \nGrab your own breakfast at your accommodation or one of the takeaways in the main street. SUMMARY:6th Annual WR250R 2 Day Rally Ride Wauchope Mid Nth Coast NSW\, 15th & 16th Oct 2022
DESCRIPTION:New Routes\, Different Concept\, All new location.\nYou can’t miss the 6th WR Rally at Wauchope in NSW\, Australia. New Routes\, New Tracks\, New Location\, and more dirt!   \n \nBe aware places will be limited! \nThis is the premier worldwide WR250R event. It’s where you get to ride and socialise with like-minded owners of the bulletproof single. Most whom have ridden the quarter litre thumper\, rave about its ability to go harder for longer. The 2022 Rally will be a GPS navigation style event. \nThe weekends’ format will be completely different to last year. Both days ride will be led and swept by experienced rideADV team members. With the support vehicle close by if its required. \nFriday night will include a group BBQ dinner at the Wauchope Showground.  \nFriday 14th Oct\, 2022\nEvent sign in and GPS handover will open at 3pm on Friday under the Yamaha quick-shade at the Wauchope Showground until 8pm. \nThe crew are camping at the showground both nights \nRecommended Wauchope accommodation locations are: \n\nTimbertown Resort & Motel\, 230 High St\, Wauchope NSW 2446 (02) 6586 0699\nThe Wauchope Motel\, 84 High St\, Wauchope NSW 2446 (02) 6585 1933\nCAMPING – Wauchope Showground\, 93A High St\, Wauchope NSW 2446 (02) 6585 3023\n\nSaturday 15th Oct 2022\,\nWauchope to Wauchope – approx. 320kms \nGrab your own breakfast at your accommodation or one of the takeaways in the main street \n8am start – you can show off your WR\, for people to enjoy a look at and compare bits and bobs.
