It’s obvious they know how to organise a ride and cater for a broad range of experience from novice to seasoned rider. I had a great ride without having to pour hours of my time into route planning and contingencies. I highly recommend these guys/girls\, they help facilitate ADV riding for the many that don’t have the time or experience to put together a top ride whether that be a weekend or week away” \nFor further details about this ride\, please contact TB at 0499 089715 or via email at info@rideadv.com.au. Today’s loop includes a thrilling 90km-plus stretch that’s the closest you’ll come to an Australian safari stage. The last time we rode here\, our customers couldn’t stop raving—it felt like a mini Dakar. That night’s bench racing session was filled with laughter and stories about navigating creek beds\, hunting for elusive track exits\, and missing track markers. The excitement was so intense\, the stories flowed all night long. This loop has no fuel stops\, no lunch breaks—it’s just you\, your bike\, and the wild terrain. The ride should take around 5 hours\, so plan ahead. Arkaroola offers packed lunches\, and you’ll fuel up before and after the loop. As you ride\, soak in the breathtaking mountain ranges—TB swears they remind him of Montana. This is a ride you’ll be talking about for years to come.\nPacked Lunch: Available from Arkaroola (although its only a 5 hour loop)\, fuel up before and after the loop.\nGroup Dinner: Arkaroola Resort Restaurant.\n\n\nThursday 17th – Day 4: Arkaroola to Wilpena Pound (Approx. 350 km)\n\nDay 4 Run Sheet: This will be a day packed with scenic wonders and a thrilling ride. We’ll roll out of Arkaroola\, breezing past the quirky Arkaroola International Airport before diving into a long\, sweeping loop that leads us to Blinman. This outback town is perfect for an early lunch—whether it’s at a café\, the pub\, or maybe even enjoying a sneaky cold frosty drink. From Blinman\, we’ll hit the classic Glass Gorge Road\, winding through the stunning Glass Gorge. The route takes us past Oratunga Station\, through Third Water Camp and Boundary Camp\, before we merge onto Parachilna Gorge Road. Here’s where the adventure ramps up: you’ll turn left into the iconic Parachilna Gorge\, riding through breathtaking landscapes until we reach the Angorichina Tourist Village. After a quick stop\, we’ll loop back through the gorge\, passing the historic Parachilna Creek and Brachina Creek Rail Bridges. As the day unfolds\, we’ll navigate through the rugged beauty of Brachina Gorge\, ride past Teamsters Campground\, and ascend to the stunning Razorback and Bunyeroo Lookouts. Finally\, we’ll roll into Wilpena Pound\, wrapping up what might just be one of the best days you’ve ever had on a motorbike.\nSign-In: Wilpena Pound Resort Carpark.\nAccommodation: Cabins\, motel rooms or camping available at Wilpena Pound Resort (1800 805 802\, reservations@wilpenapound.com.au).\nGroup Dinner: Wilpena Pound Resort.\n\n\nFriday 18th – Day 5: SkyTrek Adventure or Relax\n\nSkyTrek Adventure:  You now have the chance to ride SKYTREK\, included in your entry. This is one of the Flinders Ranges’ most popular and diverse 4WD journeys. Designed for Low Range 4WD vehicles and experienced drivers\, it’s a little spicier than what we’ve tackled over the past four days. Yes\, it’s tougher\, but with support from our special route staff in key places\, it’s definitely doable! That means you’ll want to leave your luggage behind and team up with a buddy to ride. As always\, our crew will be sweeping the loop to ensure everything runs smoothly. The journey typically takes 6-7 hours in a 4WD\, with the track clearly marked by 50 markers to guide you through the breathtaking landscapes.\nAlternative: Take the day off to explore with a bushwalk\, visit lookouts\, check out the wildlife\, or simply relax.\nSign-In: Wilpena Pound Resort Carpark.\nGroup Dinner: Wilpena Pound Resort.\n\n\nSaturday 19th – Day 6: Wilpena Pound to Broken Hill (Approx. 470 km)\n\nHighlights: The final leg of our adventure is here\, and it’s nothing short of spectacular. We’ll sign out of Wilpena Pound and head straight into some of the prettiest outback country you’ll ever see. After passing through Hawker\, there’s a sneaky little lookout you might want to challenge yourself to ride or walk up—it’s well worth the effort. While in Hawker\, don’t miss out on a visit to the incredible Hawker bakery\, a local gem. Fuel up\, then gear up for a thrilling ride through epic outback roads\, winding your way down past the historic Waukaringa Goldfield ruins before reaching Yunta. Oh yeah watch out for TB’s sneaky little lookout\, watch your GPS closely! After a quick refuel in Yunta\, the ride shifts gears as you enjoy a leisurely cruise up the highway\, leading you back into Broken Hill. This is a great chance to reflect on your journey and prepare for the bench racing session at the resort when we get back.\nEnd Location: Silverton Pub.\n\n\nImportant Information for Riders\n\nLuggage: There will be a semi trailer to carry everyones luggage\, camping gear\, tyres\, spares etc\nFuel Range: You will need enough fuel to cover 420 km off-road on Day 2. That is a requirement\, speak with TB if you have any questions.\nMandatory Footwear: All participants must wear off-road motorcycle boots (MX or Enduro-style). Soft adventure boots designed for walking are not allowed. This has been a requirementb of ours for 18months now. Contact TB at 0499 089 715 with questions.\nAmbulance Cover: Strongly recommended. This GPS-guided event promises a dynamic journey across diverse landscapes\, offering everything from sweeping country roads to technical trails for the more daring. This event is designed for riders of all skill levels and is open to all adventure bike brands and models. \n\nAccommodation: required Friday 16th and Saturday 17th\nParticipants are encouraged to arrange their accommodation well in advance. Below are some recommended options in Orange where you can stay comfortably during the event. The RideADV crew will be staying at Orange Motor Lodge. \n\nOrange Motor Lodge\n110 Bathurst Rd\, Orange NSW 2800\nPhone: (02) 6362 4600\n(Base accommodation for the event and where the crew are booked in.)\nBest Western Plus Ambassador Orange\n174 Bathurst Rd\, Orange NSW 2800\nPhone: (02) 6393 7500\nIbis Styles Orange\n146 Bathurst Rd\, Orange NSW 2800\nPhone: (02) 6362 6033\n\n\nMeals:\nMeals are pay-as-you-go (PAYG). We have selected various stops along the route where riders can refuel both themselves and their bikes. Group dinner locations will be shared during the briefings for those who wish to dine together. \n\nFuel Requirements:\nStart the ride with a full tank and ensure that your bike has a minimum fuel range of 250 km to comfortably complete each day’s route. Refueling stops will be indicated\, but it’s important to start the day fully fueled. \n\nDifficulty Levels:\nThis event caters to riders of all experience levels\, with two route options available: \n\nStandard Route: Suitable for larger adventure bikes or those looking for a scenic ride with less technical terrain.\nSpecial Route: Ideal for smaller bikes or more experienced riders seeking a greater challenge and more technical sections.\n\nYou can choose a different route on Day 2 if you want to experience something different. Both routes will feature exciting elements tailored to the terrain. \n\nItinerary & Briefings:\nTen days prior to the event\, participants will receive detailed route files and instructions. Additional updates and final briefings will take place the night before the event. Riders must attend the briefing to receive their GPS routes\, safety instructions\, and other important information. \n\nSign-On: Friday\, May 16th\, 2025\, from 3:00 PM to 7:30 PM at Orange Motor Lodge.\nRider Briefing: 7:30 PM in the car park at Orange Motor Lodge. We have the most experienced sweet team in the country which is why the others duplicate what we do.\nMedical Support: Medically trained personnel\, every crew member has medical training\, ensuring prompt medical assistance if needed.\nMechanical Support: In case of mechanical issues\, our crew will provide the necessary support to keep you riding\, including in most cases a spare bike on hand.\nCommunication: Our crew is equipped with satellite phones\, Spot Trackers\, UHF radios\, and helmet communications to ensure swift response in case of emergencies.\n\n\nWhat You Need:\nThis is a GPS navigation ride\, so participants will need to bring a GPS device or a smartphone/ tablet with a navigation app. If you need help choosing or setting up navigation tools\, don’t hesitate to contact us—we’re here to help. We also have some hire GPS units that fit any bike \nWe recommend carrying a PLB (Personal Locator Beacon) or Satellite Messenger. We use and recommend Spot Trackers for enhanced safety. \nWe also suggest starting the ride with new tyres—80/20 off-road tyres are ideal for the variety of terrain you’ll encounter. \n\nSafety Equipment:\nYour safety is our top priority. We highly enforce wearing enduro or motocross boots instead of soft-style adventure boots. The reason is simple: protection. Enduro and motocross boots offer superior protection for your ankles and lower legs\, which is critical when riding on unpredictable terrain. These boots provide reinforced ankle support\, tougher soles\, and overall better impact resistance\, reducing the risk of serious injury. While adventure boots may be comfortable for walking\, they lack the necessary protection for serious off-road conditions. This has now been a hard rule at RideADV for over 12 months. \n\nContact Us:\nFor more details or any questions regarding the ride\, GPS setup\, or accommodations\, feel free to contact us. You can reach TB at 0499 089 715 or email us at info@rideadv.com.au. \nSign up early to secure your spot—we look forward to seeing you out there for an unforgettable adventure in the Central West as last two years the event has sold out![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]

SUMMARY:7th Annual WR250R 2 Day Rally Ride Wauchope Mid Nth Coast NSW\, 25th & 26th Nov 2023
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″ shape_divider_position=”bottom”][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_column_text]\n \nBe aware places will be limited!\nLast year was epic\, ask anyone that attended! With that in mind we will return to the same area and make it better again! \nThis is the premier worldwide WR250R event. It’s where you get to ride and socialise with like-minded owners of the bulletproof single. Most whom have ridden the quarter litre thumper\, rave about its ability to go harder for longer. Whether it’s on the road or in the dirt\, the WR250R is the “Swiss Army Knife” of motorcycles. It’s won over a host of friends\, including RideADV head honcho Greg ‘Giant G’ Yager and the entire Destination Yamaha  rideADV team. \nCome ride with the Destination Yamaha rideADV team for what will be the biggest WR250R Rally yet! The first Yamaha WR250R Rally took place in May 2017\, the second April 2018\, the third in March 2019\, all at Cessnock\, based out of Chris Watson Motorcycles. All the previous Rallys have been a massive success and a cult following has ensued. The Rally has grown in size\, to the point that the format needs constant change\, including overnight locations.  \nIt’s bigger than a trail ride\, so it’s time it became a Rally proper. The 2023 Rally will be a GPS navigation style eventagain. What’s that mean? It means no more corner-man system! Which means no waiting on corners\, just follow the route. You will need a device that can have a GPX file loaded into it. We have purchased and recommend Garmin GPS products. You can use a phone if you have a navigation app that will accept a GPX file of up to 10\,0000 way points. Beware\, we frequently witness phone failures on these rides because of vibration\, being out of range\, flat batteries and getting wet. \nBoth days ride will be led and swept by experienced rideADV team members. With the support vehicle close by if its required. \nFriday night will include a group BBQ dinner at the Wauchope Showground on us!.  \nFriday 24th Nov\, 2023\nEvent sign in and GPS handover will open at 3pm on Friday under the Yamaha quick-shade at the Wauchope Showground until 8pm. This is located at 93A High St\, Wauchope. \nMechanical Scrutineering will take place as you check in and we’ll be putting on a free BBQ dinner from 6.30pm. Bring any refreshments you want\, there will be plenty of entertainment. \nWe will then be conducting a Riders Briefing that all riders must attend. \nThe crew are camping at the showground both nights \nRecommended Wauchope accommodation locations are: \n\nTimbertown Resort & Motel\, 230 High St\, Wauchope NSW 2446 (02) 6586 0699\nThe Wauchope Motel\, 84 High St\, Wauchope NSW 2446 (02) 6585 1933\nCAMPING – Wauchope Showground\, 93A High St\, Wauchope NSW 2446 (02) 6585 3023 – Crew camping here\n\nSaturday 25th Nov 2023\,\nWauchope to Wauchope – approx. 320kms \nGrab your own breakfast at your accommodation or one of the takeaways in the main street \n8am start – you can show off your WR\, for people to enjoy a look at and compare bits and bobs. Meanwhile\, Yamaha Rep and Legend Jake Belford will judge the bikes for the below categories. \n\n Most bling on WRR\n Highest mileage WRR\n Furthest travelled to the ride\n RideADV crew choice award\n\nSign out and GPS handout will be at 8.00am. \nThe route will have a fuel stop\, lunch break locations and optional breakouts for those wanting something more challenging. \nDinner\, Award handouts and the Riders Briefing will be held at a TBA during the dinner on Saturday night. \nSunday 26th Nov 2023\,\nWauchope to Wauchope – approx. 300kms \nSign out and GPS handout will be at 8.00am. \nGrab your own breakfast at your accommodation or one of the takeaways in the main street. So\, you should be fed & fuelled and ready to ride off from the sign out at the Showground 8.10am sharp. \nThe route will have a fuel stop\, lunch break locations and optional breakouts for those wanting something more challenging. \nThis event is for WR250Rs ONLY\, if you front up with another bike or WR model you\, won’t be able to participate! !\n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
