Come and follow some of Australias most famous rivers, it takes historic towns and locations in NSW, QLD, VIC and SA. Come join Australia’s Premier Adventure Riding Tour Company.


This is a fully supported navigation ride, open to all motorcycle brands.


Saturday 12th  Aug 2023 – Condobolin Railway hotel sign on. 

Getting ready for the start of a lifetime experience. Sign-in is between 11am and 5pm at the Railway Hotel, Condobolin, NSW – under the Yamaha & RideADV Flags.

During sign on, you get your GPS loaded for the entire trip, your luggage tags and gift bag and Tee shirts. Pre-ordered tyres will be fitted by the crew, and other tyres ordered can be allocated and packed. All special requirements will be sorted.

There will be a Welcome Dinner and a riders briefing in the evening at the Railway Hotel (included in your entry fee)

Day 1 – Sunday 13th Aug 2023, “Macquarie River” North to Collie – Condo to Collie – 520 kms..

Max fuel distance 300kms

This Route travels through beautiful central NSW farm land, visits Parkes telescope, Albert, and the Rabbit Trap Hotel for lunch and fuel. We head north then through Trangie, secert remote track sections before crossing the Macquarie River and heading the “TikToc” famous Collie Hotel. Our host for the evening will be Tom and his crew.

There is limited motel room style accommodation if you are quick (at your expense), the crew are camping, camping fees are included. Showers etc are all at the hotel, dinner and breakfast are at the motel.

Day 2 – Monday 14th Aug 2023, “Castlereagh River” Collie to Lighting Ridge – 378kms

Breakfast is at the pub.

We head out north through farm country and up along the Castlereagh River skirting the Warrumbungle National Park. We will fuel at Coonamble before continuing north east into the Pilliga Forest watching out for Yowies! Out of the forest it’ll be more farm country as we track the Namoi River through “Come by Chance” to Walgett for more fuel if required. Once we are topped up it will be a farm track / outback road run to Lighting Ridge which will be our base for two nights. Once in town and checked in you can go and soak in a hot spring before dinner.

Day 3 – Tuesday 15th Aug 2023, “Barwon River, QLD, Cubbie Station and back into NSW”– 450kms

Max fuel distance 300kms.

Our route today starts heading north east out paralleling the Barwon River through farm country with no horizon. Once in Mungindi and fuelled up we will cross the Barwon River and QLD border before swinging west towards the famous Cubbie Station which has the title of the largest irrigation property in the southern hemisphere. Lunch will be in Dirranbandi before we drop down to Hebel for a break at the Hebel Pub, across the border back into NSW and on through farm country to Lightining Ridge. Once in town and checked in you can go and soak in a hot spring before dinner.

Day 4 – Wednesday 16th Aug 2023, “Darling River, Bourke, Louth, Tilpa and Paddle Steamer Towns” – 474kms

Max fuel distance 320kms.

Early start today, west out of Lighting Ridge through Opal country, dropping down over the Darling River before arriving in Bourke was the heart of river boat trade along the Darling River. Make sure you check out the Bourke Bakery before you fuel up and head for Louth. We run south west with the Darling to Louth for lunch at Shindy’s Inn Louth. You must top up your fuel at Louth as there is no fuel at the overnight stop at Tilpa. We will continue along the Darling River on the southern road to the famous Tilpa Pub. Established in 1894, Tilpa Hotel is considered one of the last remaining true bush pubs in Australia. Grown from a river boat trade along the Darling River, the hotel/pub is the heart of Tilpa. It’s a camp night for everyone, showers on site.

Dinner is at the Tilpa Pub at your expense.

Day 5 – Thursday 17th Aug 2023, “Darling River to Menindee” – 280kms

Max fuel distance 300kms carried over from the previous day. 

Today is the shortest day of the ride, it will be a good day for afternoon bike maintianence or a trip out to visit the lake or check out Menindees history once youre in town. We cointuine along the Darling River but today on the northern road to Wilcannia. You will be able to fuel at Wilcannia before heading south to Menindee eventually riding around the edge of Lake Wetherell into Menindee.

Day 6 – Friday 18th Aug 2023, “Lake Menindee, Darling River,and onto South Aust to the Murray” – 418kms

Max fuel distance 418kms.

Today we head straight out and around Lake Menindee and past Lake Tandou before turning east onto the Old Pooncarrie Road. Back onto the Darling before heading west through outback station country past the Travellers Lake, Yelta Lake and Nearie Lake before crossing the Sliver City Hwy at Anabranch South. From there its a straight west run to the South Australia remote border crossing. Once in SA we will paraell the Mighty Murray River before arriving in Renmark for our overnight stay.

Lunch will be able to be pre purchased in Menidee the day evening before as there are NO Fuel or Food on route at this stage

Day 7 – Saturday 19th Aug 2023, “Starting on the Murray, through the little desert and back to the Murray onto Swan Hill” – 426kms

Max fuel distance 300kms.

Our destination today is Swan Hill in Vic. We will be straight into the Murray Sunset little desert to Hattah home of the famous Hattah desert race. If you don’t want to do the whole sand desert experience you can go around. Once in Hattah you can fuel, grab a snack and head south to Ouyen Victoria for lunch. After lunch its farm country lanes and outback style roads to Swan Hill and back on the Murray River for the night.

Day 8 – Sunday 20th Aug 2023, “Along to Murray, aross the Wakool River and back into NSW to Deniliquin” – 347kms

Max fuel distance 300kms

Today we start heading out of Swan Hill into NSW and due east. After topping up our fuel tanks at Barham we travel around the Perricoota State Forest while keeping north of Echuca. Then it’s back into Vic across the Murray and up to Tocumwal on the Murray and back into NSW again. More fuel and a snack maybe before heading north west through farmland to Deniliquin NSW.

Day 9 – Monday 21st Aug 2023, “Farm land to the Murrumbidgee and Wagga” – 388kms

Two days to go as we end back to Condo. Today has us traveling through the southern Riverina region of NSW. We travle around Jerilderie, through Urana and onto Narrandera for lunch and fuel. From there its along the Murrumbidgee River into Wagga.

Day 10 – Tuesday 22nd Aug 2023, “Home James, heading north and onto the Lachlan River and Condobolin” – 410kms

It’s all north today and we head back to Condobolin. We travel some of our favourite tracks from this area as we travel through Central West farm country. We skirt Junee, transverse Cootamundra and cross the Lachlan river before arriving back at the start.

Fun facts for this trip

Trip cost $2999.00

• Ten Days, Four Australian States, Seven plus rivers, one Australian desert and untold history to learn
• Every overnight stop is at a location you can purchase your dinner, have a shower, setup your camp and enjoy drinks and a rest or bench race with new and old friends. We aren’t cooking from the truck although there may be a breakfast or two from the truck.
• Everyone gets 80L of luggage space on the truck. The support truck will carry your luggage, tent or swag, spares, chairs and fridges for your refreshments. This includes water and fizzy adult drinks.
• The support vehicle that follows the entire route has emergency fuel, extra medical supplies, spares, cold drinks, spare bike (see RideADV team member) 4 bike off-road trailer
• Sweeps riders are mechanically and medically trained. They all carry extra fuel and tooling as well as a welcome and calming smile.
• Minimum fuel range of 430kms is required for this ride. This is only one day and maybe avoided after the final prerun
• All bikes should start with a new or near new chain, sprockets, brake pads and wheel bearings. Call TB if you have any questions.
• All bikes have to have at a minimum off-road style tyre of 75% off-road, 25% road, call TB if you have any questions.
• Tyres can be ordered through Tyres 4 Bikes at Dural and fitted at Condobolin if required, call Geoff on 02 9651 1668. Tell Geoff you are part of this ride.
• Everyone has to camp at Tilpa as there is no accommodation. All other nights you can seek accommodation at your own expense.
• You must have ambulance cover and disclose any medical conditions that the crew should be aware of on your entry form.
• Remember you are in your riding gear all day, make sure its all gear you are using. Starting a big ride like this with new untried gear isn’t always a good idea.
• Your 3-litre hydration backpack will carry the things you want/need for the day including your lunch if required.
• Boots with full ankle support must be worn, we have seen to many injuries lately because of soft sided, easy to walk in adventure style boots. Any questions regarding this please feel free call TB – 0499 089715
• Be prepared and pack for a variety of temperatures. Average temperatures in August where we are headed are 0 to 30 degrees. Riding gear that is not only protective, but weather resistant is important.
• We talk with the caravan park regarding parking at Condo for those wishing to park their cars and trailers.
