The team at RideADV, have years of experience in all areas of motorcycling – specialising in Adventure Riding. We were the first to start the Introduction to Adventure Riding Training Rides years ago. We have been watching it all evolve and decided its time to start our “Intermediate Level Introduction to Adventure Riding Courses” We love sharing our knowledge and want to help grow our sport. With this in mind, and with the continued On-going support of Yamaha Australia and all our other Sponsors, we are proud to Present the 1st “Intermediate Level Introduction to Adventure Riding Series” for 2024, our newest concept in Adventure Riding.

Join in with other like minded peeps, willing to step out of their comfort zone, grow their skills and learn something new! Expand your Ride possibilities! Who knows where you’ll be heading next! The Back O Bourke, The High Country, The Flinders, Cameron Corner……..The more you learn – the more your options will multiply!

These rides are suitable for all types of Adventure bikes, All brands, All models and All rider skill levels. These rides are designed for those that are reasonably new to adventure riding or are wanting to refresh the right way to do it safely. And for those wanting to brush up on their skills and knowledge.

These events feature input from RideADV’s own Greg “TB” Yager with Mick “Strongy” Strong, John “JohnBoy” Harrison and others.

TB, Strongy and JohnBoy have been riding for over 100 years cumulatively and have a wealth of knowledge, practical experience and bike setup advice to share when it comes to off-road riding.  The crew are all knowledgeable, experienced and consistent riders, looking to pass on the knowledge they have from years of riding.

During these rides, we will be sharing all aspects of Adventure Riding including;

  • Intermediate to more advanced riding techniques
  • Bike setup including Suspension set-up and adjustment
  • Ergonomics , riding position, comfortable and safe
  • Adventure bike tyres, different tyre styles, tubes, tubeless and more
  • Personal tracking, safety, Spot tracker, PLB, Garmin In-Reach what the actual differences are
  • Luggage, packing and how different setups affect the bikes handling
  • De-watering a bike and the importance of doing it correctly
  • GPS, how to understand and use them
  • Tools, what you really need to carry and why
  • ‘How to change a tyre track side
  • Track Etiquette and how to help maintain our sports long term survival
  • Test ride the Crew Tenere 700’s and Yamaha World Raid bikes if you wish
  • Saturday evening question and answer sessions
  • Plus much more

The RideADV Sweep Crew and Support Vehicles will be there backing up as per previous events.

Camp, Motel, Pub – it’s Your Ride, Your Adventure!

We’ll head out from Singleton to our overnight stay at Tamworth returning the next day by a different route. There will be a baggage / support vehicle, so you can ride unencumbered of luggage on both days. The cost is only $165 per person per day—That’s only $330 for 2 spectacular days of fully supported ADV riding at its best, with support and tuition from experienced ADV riders assisting on the ride.

Sign In – Friday, 11th Oct, 2024 – at the Country Motor Inn at Singleton. 

Sign In will start at 4pm in the Carpark of the Country Motor Inn. The Sign In will continue at the dinner location. The Riders briefing will be delivered after dinner. Dinner will start at 6pm and the briefing will follow with informal introductions and talks from a few industry people. All riders are required to attend the rider briefing.

Day 1, Saturday, 12th Oct, 2024 – Singleton to Tamworth.

Total distance is approximately 300kms. Lunch will be at a TBA location. Maximum required fuel distance is 180kms. Sign out and ride away will be 8am sharp from the Country Motor Inn Carpark. The route will include the famous Barry Station and the 22 creek crossings!  You must Sign out and back in after each days riding. Please Sign in before you head to your accommodation.

Saturday night’s dinner and the riders briefing will be in Tamworth at the Long Yard Hotel.
