Be aware places will be limited!
Last year was epic, ask anyone that attended! With that in mind we will return to the same area and make it better again!
This is the premier worldwide WR250R event. It’s where you get to ride and socialise with like-minded owners of the bulletproof single. Most whom have ridden the quarter litre thumper, rave about its ability to go harder for longer. Whether it’s on the road or in the dirt, the WR250R is the “Swiss Army Knife” of motorcycles. It’s won over a host of friends, including RideADV head honcho Greg ‘Giant G’ Yager and the entire Destination Yamaha rideADV team.
Come ride with the Destination Yamaha rideADV team for what will be the biggest WR250R Rally yet! The first Yamaha WR250R Rally took place in May 2017, the second April 2018, the third in March 2019, all at Cessnock, based out of Chris Watson Motorcycles. All the previous Rallys have been a massive success and a cult following has ensued. The Rally has grown in size, to the point that the format needs constant change, including overnight locations.
It’s bigger than a trail ride, so it’s time it became a Rally proper. The 2023 Rally will be a GPS navigation style eventagain. What’s that mean? It means no more corner-man system! Which means no waiting on corners, just follow the route. You will need a device that can have a GPX file loaded into it. We have purchased and recommend Garmin GPS products. You can use a phone if you have a navigation app that will accept a GPX file of up to 10,0000 way points. Beware, we frequently witness phone failures on these rides because of vibration, being out of range, flat batteries and getting wet.
Both days ride will be led and swept by experienced rideADV team members. With the support vehicle close by if its required.
Friday night will include a group BBQ dinner at the Wauchope Showground on us!.
