The 4th Annual WR250R Rally Ride with the bLU cRU in Cessnock, Sep 5th & 6th 2020. New Format, New Routes & Luggage Truck.

bLU cRU Logo

After last year’s epic rally weekend you can’t miss the 4th WR Rally at Cessnock in NSW Australia.

New format, new routes, new tracks, luggage truck, new concept for 2020. Places will be limited!

This is the premier worldwide WR250R event, its where you get to ride and socialise with like-minded owners of the bulletproof singles. Most who have ridden the quarter litre thumper rave about its ability to go harder for longer. Whether it’s on the road or in the dirt, the WR250R is the “Swiss Army Knife” of motorcycles and has won a host of friends, including RideADV head honcho Greg ‘Giant G’ Yager and the entire bLU cRU RideADV team.

Come ride with the bLU cRU team for what will be the biggest WR250R Rally yet. The first Yamaha WR250R Rally took place in May 2017, the second April 2018, third in March 2019 all at Cessnock based out of Chris Watson Motorcycles. All the previous Rally’s have been a massive success and a cult following has started. The Rally has grown in size to the point the format needs changing. Its bigger than a trail ride, so its time it became a Rally proper. The 2020 Rally will be a GPS navigation style event. What’s that mean? It means no corner-man, no waiting on corners just follow the route. You will need a device that can have a GPX file loaded on it. We use and recommend Garmin GPS products but you can use a phone if you have a navigation app that will accept a GPX file of up to 10,0000 way points. Beware we frequently witness phone failures on these rides because of vibration, out of range, flat batteries and getting wet.

The weekends format will be completely different to previous years. Both day rides will be lead and swept by experienced RideADV team members with the support vehicles close by if required. A luggage truck will take your luggage / camping gear to and from the overnight stay.
Both Friday and Saturday night will include group dinners and the all RideADV supporters including Yamaha Australia, Adventure Moto (luggage, riding gear, safety equipment and more), Teknik Motorsport (suspension), Barkbuster Rideworx and Link International Pirelli.

Friday 4th Sep 2020,

The Friday evening sign-on, mechanical scrutineering, BBQ and riders briefing will be at Chris Watson Motorcycles 279 Maitland Rd, Cessnock.
Event sign in will open at 3pm on Friday at Chris Watson Motorcycles under the Yamaha quick-shade in the carpark until 8pm. The briefing will be at 8.15pm sharp.

Dinner will be a bbq in Watto’s carpark, bring any refreshments you want.
